the hens at our sanctuary come from  factory farms. When they came here, they were in very sorry states, but look at them now... fully feathered, confident! They are trusting and curious creatures, always looking to see what you are doing, and have their own individual characters. They all, however, adore grapes.

we have one cockerel, Rudy, who watches over his girls. We can only have one boy, as they fight, unfortunately.

Hopefully one day we will be able to have a bachelor flock, to help some of the many cockerels needing a home.
